I have been informed that my “About” page is rather, um, sparse. Sorry about that.

Me: Film buff who likes to cook. I’ve always (always, even in the womb?) adored movies. Especially old ones. I started collecting the best picture DVDs about 2 years ago with the intention of watching them in order once the collection was somewhat complete. I was also taken with the randomness (Hi, Roxane!) of the chosen best picture. Trust me, the best one doesn’t always win. Sometimes the best one isn’t even *nominated.* The matching of the food idea came a little bit later. And the blogging idea of this whole thing came to me about two hours before we watched “Wings.” Hopefully, if this Internet craze lasts, this will be a nice record. I’m married and the mother of two fantastic girls who are indulging us by watching these somewhat antiquey films with us (I secretly think that they’re in it just for the food).
